| Worried about give out your credit card details? |
Quite honestly, who can blame you?
I don't like giving my Credit Card details over the Internet either - so just how much of a risk are you taking with myself and Harmless Games?
How secure is the secure server?
I don't handle the security side of the transactions because I simply don't have the technical expertise required. Instead everything is handled by Verotel. They are a company that specialise in Internet transactions and are considered to be one of the best in the world. I would rather pay a commission to them safe in the knowledge that your transaction is secure than chance doing it myself.
I was also impressed by the amount of rules, regulations and conditions they insisted on from me before they would agree to handle my account.
I truthfully believe that you are considerably safer submitting your details to them than you would be handing your card to a waiter in a restaurant or quoting them over the telephone.
Furthermore, Verotel charge me a further 10% deposit every month as insurance in case I should be made bankrupt or simply took the money and ran without producing the promised service every month.
How can I be sure the amount I agree to pay is what I will actually pay?
We've all heard stories of surfers
who gave their details to an adult site on the understanding that entry
would cost x amount, only to find when their credit card statement
arrived they had been charged 2, 3, even 10 times the amount. I hate
that sort of practice every bit as much as you - in fact probably
more than you as I believe these thieves spoil it for those of us offering
an honest service. But don't take my word for it. The fact
is that because all transactions are handled by Verotel
it is impossible for me to do this even if I wanted to so here's my promise.
If you are charged more than the £7.95 agreed I will refund
the difference to you - easy promise to make as it can't happen - but there's
my promise.
I don't like the fact that charge recurs every month.
This was a difficult choice for me to make. As
mentioned the vast majority of visitors are regulars to the site so it
made sense to have a monthly subscription system, as long as it's easy
to cancel. I therefore make another promise to you. If you
wish to cancel your subscription and don't want to go through the rigmarole
of going onto the Verotel
site and working out how to do this then e-mail me with the details that
came with your Credit Card Transaction Receipt, or just your Subscription
ID# and I will cancel for you and confirm back before any further re-billing
takes place (please allow me 48 hours, though I will normally do this much
quicker).
If you're not sure of your Subscription ID# then your
last name and email addy will do.
How do I know Harmless Games isn't a fly-by-night company?
My UK Escort and Massage Parlour Directory has been established for over six years. It did start as a home/hobby site but has grown into what I believe to be the largest, most comprehensive directory of its kind.
HGMagazine has been established since November 1999 and all indications suggest that the vast majority of visitors are regulars who come in month after month.
Harmless Games is not a bunch of get-rich-quick merchants trying its hand at dozens of different projects at once - my UK Directory and magazine are my full time job. I spend anything up to 80 hours a week (happily, it must be said) working on both sides to the site to make it the best I can.
The photo sets are not simply
downloaded from other sites but are either produced by me, submitted to
me by the copyright holder or bought on license from some of the best image
agencies in the world.
What information does Harmless Games hold on me?
Put simply - none, I have no wish to hold information on you.
I can access the Verotel management interface to find out the name and e-mail address you gave plus your Transaction and Subscription numbers. What I can't access is your credit card details. If the e-mail address you give is incorrect and the Credit Card Transaction Receipt that should have been e-mailled bounces (i.e. is undeliverable) it comes to me. From this I can see the address you gave and whether you used Visa or Mastercard but I still can't gain your credit card numbers.
What I solemnly promise is that under no circumstances whatsoever will I add your details to a mailing list, reveal them to anyone (how ever much they offer me) or use them to send you unsolicited mailing.
If I am charged every month for access, what do I get for my money?
Don't you just hate sites that charge you every month but never seem to update their pages or add anything new? The way my site works is as follows.
New submissions are added to the UK directory on a almost daily basis but this is obviously controlled by the amount of submissions I receive. At present this is between 25 and 40 per month. I am also always on the look out for new sites appearing and regularly contact ladies to see if they would like to be added to the directory. I also watch the various message boards and forums to see who is about and what is happening and genuine ladies and premises can add their details completely free of charge without having to subscribe to the site.
A new issue of HGMagazine is produced every month with the "Photo sets", "Wives and Girlfriends" and "Strip-tease quiz" pages all containing new material.
The photographs that appear on the preview pages are true to what you will find inside the magazine. I don't use blind links, multiple windows or those infuriating lock-ins to trap you in.
Are you one of these 'dot.com' millionaires I have heard about?
I wish :-(
No I am not a dot.com millionaire and seriously doubt I ever will be. My plans for Harmless Games are long term and provided I can make enough to support my family and afford the occasional glass of real ale, I'll be happy.
